Jesper von Wieding, b.1962, has over 25 years of experience within strategy, naming, corporate identity, brand development, packaging design, product design & furniture, fashion & lifestyle, exhibition & interior design.
He serves on the board of the trade association for the Danish design companies Design denmark as well as Creative Circle - organizer of the biggest annual advertising, design, and digital award in Denmark. He is also a board member of VL20.
In 2004, Jesper founded Scandinavian DesignLab. During the 5 years with SDL, Jesper and his partners achieved international acclaim and won numerous awards, including becoming Danish Design Agency of the Year in 2008 and 2009.
In 2008, Jesper was selected as 1 of 16 worldwide designers to serve on the first design jury at the Cannes Lions Festival.
Prior to SDL, Jesper co-founded Scandinavian Design Group / Future Brand Copenhagen, as part-owner and Strategic Creative Director. SDG was founded in partnership with Inter Public Group, when he sold his design agency Design By. Design By was founded after 3 successful years at Landor Associates (WPP) in Stockholm and Paris.
Jesper started his professional career in art and design, when he founded The Museum Of Holography & New Visual Media together with Mattias Lauk from Germany. They exhibited on various art museums around the world. The exhibition became one of the largest privately owned collections of holography art and installations. Their exhibition “Light traces” became the most visited holography exhibition in the world at the time.
Jesper holds design degrees from the California College of the Arts, San Francisco and Danish Design School, Copenhagen.
